People are cutting back on everything to just keep their heads above water when it comes to monthly expenses. There are 2 industries that are suffering rather badly right now because they are deemed to be a luxury and not a mainstay for life now. One of them is cable/satellite TV and satellite radio industry.
I am hearing that Sirius radio is taking bankruptcy, can other entertainment services be far behind them? How many people do you know that have either cut back to basics for cable TV services or simply went back to the antenna for their reception?
Another industry that I can see having problems is the home security industry. With more and more people getting laid off, they no longer need a wireless security system to keep an eye on their home while they are at work.
The extras in our lives that we had become accustomed to are now being cut away to the bone. We have to in order to survive the growing recession or should I say depression.
