I visited a friend on Saturday. She was manning a table at a craft fair. She was there from 9am to 3pm and I found out later that she had not sold one item all day. Personally I told her that it was not the economy but the location and publicity of the craft fair.
When I arrived at the fair there were no signs on the sidewalk or at the nearest corner to advertise the fair. The fair was at a local lodge that the membership was mainly retired people. Almost all of the items were Christmas decorations and jewelry at the other booths. Other than a few quilts that she offered and some childrens items her inventory did not match the age of the customers she had which was mostly the club membership.
I don't think that her funny t shirts that she normally sells (but forgot to bring) would have even sold. She just picked a craft fair that was in the wrong place for customers and had organizers that dropped the ball on advertising it.
