Have you noticed that retailers have been dropping their prices? This last weekend I noticed the prices on summer clothing at several major clothing retailers have been cut. Swim wear that was in the $40+ range now has been cut in half or more - and summer type weather has not even begun in most parts of the USA.
Food prices have still been going up, but I have noticed that some people are not buying the junk foods as much. I know our family has cut out most of the snacks and we are just sticking to the necessities.
