Don't fall for the next credit card in the mail offer

It is bad enough when you have trouble making ends meet each week but throw into it a unexpected bill like the dentist or the car needing work and it will throw you for a loop. Credit cards can become the biggest trap at those times. The credit card companies rely on people that have fair to poor credit to pray upon. It is those people that they charge the highest interest rates and make money on those little annoying fees. I should know - I have been there. I have almost paid off the last credit card from Christmas and I have only $700 to go. I will not fall for the credit card offers that come in the mail anymore.

If you do need to pay off a medical bill that charges a monthly late fee, you might consider a very low and I do mean loooow interest rate credit card. In the long run a low interest rate might save you money on those monthly fees. Take for example a dentist bill that I had. The monthly finance fee was a straight $17 a month until it was paid, regardless of how much was left on the bill. Had I known about the finance fee up front I would have put the entire amount on a credit card. The finance charge would have been around $12 a month and would have gotten lower as the bill was paid.

A website to check out competitive rates on credit cards and avoid bad credit loans is listed below. Remember when looking at credit card offers to avoid those types of credit cards that charge a monthly fee. I had one of those cards last year and I paid close to $120 a year in "membership fees". I was dumb to think that it was a type of credit card that would boost my credit rating - wrong. The credit card companies claim that so they can gouge more money out of you. Don't fall for it. That card was paid off very quickly and the account closed.
